Live in about two minutes
Section titled “Live in about two minutes”Install the app from the Shopify App Store and open it in your admin.
Turn the gate on — enable age verification, pick a verification method and a minimum age, then save.
Activate the theme embed — one click takes you to the theme editor; toggle the embed on and save. The gate is live.

Compliance without the data grab
Section titled “Compliance without the data grab”Optan stores no personal data about your shoppers. Date-of-birth entries never leave the browser. The optional consent log records only the outcome, the country and the time — nothing that identifies a person. All app data lives on servers in the European Union and is deleted when you uninstall.
