The font library
Section titled “The font library”The app embeds eight open-source fonts (SIL Open Font License), covering the classic engraving styles:
| Font | Style |
|---|---|
| Playfair Display | Serif |
| Cormorant Garamond | Serif |
| Inter | Sans-serif |
| Montserrat | Sans-serif |
| Great Vibes | Script |
| Dancing Script | Script |
| JetBrains Mono | Monospace |
| Cinzel | Display / capitals |
Per product, you tick which fonts the customer may choose from. The Free plan includes three (Inter, Playfair Display, Great Vibes); Pro and Plus unlock all eight — see Plans & features.
Why embedded fonts matter
Section titled “Why embedded fonts matter”- Zero external requests: fonts are packaged in the theme extension’s assets — no Google Fonts, no CDN call, nothing for a privacy banner to worry about.
- Only active fonts load: each font ships as its own stylesheet; a product that offers two fonts loads two, not eight.
- Off the critical path: fonts load asynchronously with
font-display: swap, so they never delay your page rendering. - Production fidelity: the same font files are embedded into production SVGs, so the file your workshop opens uses exactly what the customer saw.
Colors
Section titled “Colors”You define the color palette per product (with sensible defaults in Settings): each entry has a label and a hex value. The customer picks one; the preview text renders in it, and the choice arrives in the order as a readable Color property.
Palette entries describe engraving/print colors, so keep them to what your process can actually produce. For material choices (brass vs. walnut), prefer a swatch field, which is semantically separate from the text color.
Defaults for new products
Section titled “Defaults for new products”In Settings, choose the fonts and palette pre-selected whenever you configure a new product — so repeat configuration is two clicks, not twenty.
