Storefront translations

Everything your customers see — the block title, field labels, error messages, the gift-box label — ships translated in 15 languages, and every string stays editable in Settings.

English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Danish, Swedish, Norwegian (Bokmål), Finnish, Polish, Czech, Turkish.

The app’s admin interface follows your Shopify admin language across the same 15 languages.

The block reads the storefront locale of the page being viewed (the language your customer is browsing in) and picks the matching translation:

  • exact match first (e.g. pt-BR vs pt-PT are distinct),
  • then the base language (fr-CA falls back to French; Norwegian variants resolve to Bokmål),
  • English as the final fallback.

Multi-language stores work out of the box: the same product page shows French labels under /fr/ and Swedish labels under /sv/ with zero configuration.

In Settings → Storefront texts, each string is editable per language: block title, default field labels, validation messages (required field, character limit, file too large…), and so on. Defaults are professionally written, so editing is optional — most merchants adjust only the block title.

Per-product field labels set in a product’s configuration override the defaults for that product.

Translations are stored in your shop’s metafields and read by the block through Liquid — the storefront never makes a network request to fetch them, in any language.
